Our latest deployment of 54 trader turrets is on its way to Stockholm for installation. So far this year, in addition to our new installations, we've supplied in excess of 150 refurbished turrets to clients who are keen on extending the life of their existing trader voice systems.
We've added a new client to our expanding customer list. This investment bank has ordered a new Trader Turret system for their UK offices and will be looking to deploy similar in the US later this year. We'll be supplying a Speakerbus system with compliance call recording by Redbox.

MiFID II Update
The Market in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II) will come into effect on 3 January 2018.
MiFID II will generate new requirements relating to the recording, storing and monitoring of telephone conversations and electronic communications. Personnel currently exempt from the requirement to be recorded will fall under the new regulations, including IFAs and some support as well as customer-facing employees. All recordings will need to be archived for longer.
The changes require that anyone involved in giving financial advice that leads to – or may lead to – a transaction must record their conversations and securely store these communications for at least five years. The new regulation also encompasses calls made on mobile phones.
The delay in implementing MiFID ll from 2017 to 2018 is an opportunity for users to test the solution before the deployment deadline.

Our rollout of Speakerbus trader turrets to a client with offices in Moscow, Cyprus, New York and London is now complete. As part of our service, we've provided a hot-swap turret to each location and are providing first-line administration training to designated personnel. The user is now looking into the legacy circuits they had in place as the architecture of the Speakerbus system means that many of the expensive dedicated "private" circuits can be networked to multiple endpoints in a far more cost-effective manner. Initial calculations show that this client will be able to save UK£25,000 per annum on duplicated private wires, meaning that the new system will almost pay for itself over its lifecycle.
The first phase of our 4-country deployment of Speakerbus Trader Turrets went live over the weekend in London. The system replaces a much older BT ITS system in London and an IPC system in Moscow.
Thanks to the hard work of the engineering team, everything went without a hitch - and we're now shipping the pre-programmed systems to New York, Moscow and Cyprus for installation over the course of the next few weeks.
