Our client had a requirement to record either 280 users or 150 Trunk lines. The new site is an Avaya IPT environment, using 2 x 4507r's and 2 x 4506's Cisco switches.
Recording a BT ITS dealerboard system with contingency
The customer requirement was for 480 MegaLink channels with a backup recorder (N+1) to record a BT ITS trading system. The recorders would be configured with 480 channels each; this being the maximum capacity per chassis. The CLS interface required ITSlink software. The internal hard disk array was configured with RAID 5 resilience. We included 8 Kbps compression instead of the standard 16 Kbps.

The proposed solution is specified for total recording of 75 BT dealer boards via PCM32 and Meridian and analogue recording via extension side. Both systems will integrate with the BT ITS and Meridian switches to provide in-depth search criteria and utilising Storage Centre to provide 12 months online storage for replay.
